When David Robson approached us in 2010, he was already a highly successful Ashtanga yoga teacher with a busy studio and an international workshop schedule. But he wanted to find a new way to connect with his students and share his teachings. He also wanted to earn passive revenue through online sales to supplement his studio and workshop income.
Together we developed an integrated strategy to produce the “Learn to Float” series of instructional yoga videos. We then created a custom e-commerce site, built with Drupal, where visitors can purchase the video series, either streamed online or on DVD, along with a variety of supplemental products.
Since first launching the site in 2011, we have since collaborated on the production of a range of video, audio and print products under the “Learn to Float” brand. As David’s audience grows, so have his online sales, with steady year-over-year growth since day one.
This project is a perfect example of our preference for nurturing long-term creative relationships. In this case, it was really easy: David’s an incredibly nice guy and so easy to work with. EK always enjoys shooting stills of David in different situations and impossibly bendy postures. Greg and David spent many hours together working on everything from scripts to web design to marketing strategy.
The great part of working with David is that we were able to flex all of our creative muscles across a range of services to deliver a completely integrated solution while still maintaining a one-to-one relationship with the client. The laundry list of services engaged on this project included script writing, video production and editing, web development and design, still photography, graphic design and page layout, audio editing and music composition.
As a small shop, we are able to provide a very personal and intimate experience. With our broad range of services, we are able to provide end-to-end service and ensure that everything ties together beautifully. Seamless creative.
